Our experienced technician was called to a home in San Francisco to resolve an issue with a GE combo washer-dryer. The customers noted that their unit was no longer washing or drying clothes as expected. Upon inspection, it became clear that this laundry system was in near-constant use by many people in the household.
During the diagnostic process, our technician discovered that several small pieces of clothing—including socks and undergarments—had made their way inside the unit. These items had wrapped around the motor shaft and dislodged the drive belt, which stopped the washing and drying functions from working.
The technician carefully removed all tangled items and properly repositioned the drive belt. After the repairs were completed, the washer-dryer was tested and returned to normal operation, giving the household back their valuable laundry appliance.
